Career guidance . Labor protection . Protect migrant workers and entrepreneurs . Establish Labor Market Information network
Employment office : . Provide services with free of charge . Began operational more 20 years ago . Under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Labor . Divided into 3 section: General Adm., Employment Promotion, Job seeker protection and migrant workers control . Being established within 76 provinces (in BKK 10 E.Os) . Successful rate : around 50% (this year)_Semi-skill workers In addition, job seekers have an alternative to register with private employment agency and office space for private recruitment representatives.
Regulation frameworks : • Employment Law • Labor Protection Law • MOU between Thailand and Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Myanmar Others materials: Develop booklets, leaflets, and flyer cards for migrant workers
Service Provide Mechanisms All services are provide with free of charge • Paper base registration form • Online service through website: www.doe.go.th/khonkaen In addition: toll free 1694 (in BKK) Information management: . Develop a link database of Job Announcements nationwide . Department of Employment conduct some survey regarding skill mismatch and related matters
Lesson learn : • Collaboration among stakeholders in the labor market • System integration between employment services and migrant workers management and protection • Provide training for teachers and labor volunteers to disseminate about LMI to students at secondary schools
