  2. Statement of Activitiesfor the 11 month period ended May 31, 2007 Unfavorable variance on revenues is 3.8%. Favorable variance on expenses is 1.9%.

  3. Membership • As of the end of month. • For the 11 month period ended May 31. Chapters recruit, retain and recover members!

  4. Strategic InitiativeIncrease Professional Advocacy • Added staff support for advocacy activities. • Evaluating software tools to provide on-line grassroots advocacy services to members – used by leading membership associations such as ASAE. • Provide members information on pending and adopted legislation. • Enable individual members to provide input directly to their elected leaders, or to NCMA as part of an aggregate response. • Evaluating public relations services and software tools. • Provide widespread media information on NCMA and the profession.

Strategic InitiativeCreate the Next Generation of Contract Management Professionals • Recruit student members. • Almost 500 student members. • Charter student chapters. • Cal Poly Pomona, Bowie State, and Christopher Newport • Macfarlan Excellence in CM Research and Writing Program • Published in Journal and CM magazine • Prizes awarded of $11,000

Strategic InitiativeCreate the Next Generation of Contract Management Professionals (continued) • Contract Management Leadership Development Program (CMLDP) • First class of 34 students graduated in April 2007 • Second class of 24 students started June 2007. • The program is available to organizations to provide to a group of its employees – by contracting with NCMA.

  7. Strategic InitiativePenetrate the Federal Community to A Greater Degree • Increased the Board of Advisors to 110 members. • Increased communication and dialogue with advisors. • Exhibited at Federal conferences: GSA Expo, FACE, DOD CM conference, USAF CM conference • Hosted USAF awards program. • Reviewing and re-establishing group memberships with key organizations.

How We Communicate With and About Chapters • Leadership Update (monthly e-newsletter sent to all volunteers). • CM News (bi-monthly e-newsletter sent to all members). • Contract Management magazine (monthly print magazine sent to all members). • NCMAHQ Website (available to general public). • Intranet website (available to all volunteers). • ChapterConnect (blog for chapter leaders). • FellowConnect (monthly e-newsletter to all Fellows members). • AdvisorConnect (monthly e-newsletter to all BOA members). • StudentConnect (monthly e-newsletter to all student and faculty members). Chapter Forums at each national conference!
