Section One • One hour • 45% of AP score • About 55 Multiple Choice Questions • 4 or 5 poetry, prose, and drama passages
Section Two • Two hours • 3 essays total (about 40 minutes each) • 55% of AP score • 1 essay on prose passage • 1 essay on poetry • 1 open question using text from class
Paper 1 • Two hours • 25% of IB Literature score • Written Commentary • 2 Choices - pick ONE • One on prose passage, another on poetry
Paper 2 • 2 hours • 25% of IB Literature score • Genre-specific essay • 2 Choices+ • Choose essay prompt from DRAMA category • Must use at least TWO titles in answer
GENERAL ADVICE Be well-rested, well-fed, on time, and with layered clothes for the exam Review major literary terms Treat the whole passage Review content, themes, quotes from texts Memorize a few key quotes to use
