  3. Business descrıption and ıntroductıon Pilates as training system • Nowadays Pilates is one of the most preferred training systems on the fitness market. Being advertised and also personally used by celebrities makes it also one of the trendiest. It uses a persons own body weight and can be done on a Pilates reformer machine or on a mat according to the difficulty level, that the customer wishes to use. Modifications of the exercises allow the variation of difficulty ranging from beginner to advanced. • Because Pilates only requires a machine that can do multiple movements or a mat, it can be done also in small places as oppose to huge fitness studios with 1000 different machines. • It is a gentle yet very challenging mind-body workout. With each move the whole body will be conditioned. • Pilates provides flexibility and strength which reduces the risk of injuries.

Number of customers • 17 000 women live in Jülich. • Studies reveal that an approximate of 10% of the German population are enrolled in a Fitness Studio (1700 women in Jülich). • We assumed that 25% of these 1700 women will become members of Piladies, in addition to 75 women from surrounding areas.  Piladies GmbH will expect to have 500 members. • Assuming each member participates on 3 courses per week, 1500 visitors will be expected per week. • A one-time membership fee of 15 € is required from each member in order to register, which will contribute to the revenue of the first 3 years. • We assume, that on the 5th and 10th year in the running of our establishment a circulation of members will take place, where 250 previous members will be replaced by new ones (additional membership fee added to the revenue of the respective years).
