  2. Pretend you are the boy in this picture. Write a paragraph about what is happening.

  3. Micah was so happy. He ran down the sidewalk to meet his mom. “Hurry and come inside,” he said. As mom walked into the house, she saw why Micah was happy. Micah’s dad was sitting on the living room floor, playing with a new puppy. “He’s so cute!” Mom said. Then the puppy jumped up and licked her in the face. I guess he liked Mom too!

  4. Use a highlighter to highlight all the verbs in the paragraph. Try to change some of them to stronger verbs.
