Geography • Capital of Cambodia - Phnom Penh. • Area- 181,035 sq kms (69,898 sq mi) • Borders along with Laos, Vietnam, & Thailand. • Coast Line – 443 km. • 75% area of the country is 100 mtr above the sea level. • Cardamon Mountains - Highest elevation (1,813 m / 5,948 ft.) • Damrei Mountains - "Elephant Mountains" (500–1,000 m or 1,640–3,280 ft). • Dangrek Mountains – Avg elevation (500 m / 1,640 ft) along the border with Thailand's Isan region.

  4. Climate • Cambodia's temperatures range from 21° to 40°C. • Rainy Season - May to Oct. with high humidity • Dry Season - Nov to Apr. temperature up to 40 °C. • The best months to visit Cambodia is Nov to Jan. • Cambodia Faced two disastarous flood in 2001 & again 2002.

Culture Of Cambodia • Its culture is highly influenced by India & China • The golden age of Cambodia was between the 9th and 14th century, during the Angkor period. • When greeting people or to show respect in Cambodia people do the "sampeah" gesture, identical to the Indian Namaste and Thai wai. • Khmer classical dance is a form of Cambodian dance originally performed only for royalty. Having 4,000 gestures in this type of dance.

Royal Cambodian Air Force • The king is the Supreme Commander of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) and the country's prime minister effectively holds the position of commander-in-chief.

Transportation • Roadways- It has length of 3928 km. • Railways- It has two rail lines of 612km. • Airways- It has four commercial airports. 1.Phnom Penh International Airport (2nd Largest in Cambodia) 2.Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport is the largest. 3.Sihanoukville and 4.Battambang. • Seaways-It has two major ports Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville . Capable of receiving 8,000-ton ships during the wet season and 5,000-ton ships during the dry season.

Major Infectious diseases • Degree of Risk: Very High in Cambodia. • Food or Waterborne Diseases: Bacterial and Protozoal Diarrhea, hepatitis A, and Typhoid Fever. • Vectorborne Diseases: Dengue fever, Japanese Encephalitis, and Malaria. • HIV Aids: 75,000 People living with HIV.(54th country in world) 6,900Deaths due to HIV (40th country in world) • Highly pathogenic H5N1 (Bird Flu) avian influenza has been identified in this country.
