Educational Requirements to sit for the CPA Examination Four year degree in any discipline A total of 150 semester (225 quarter) college credits 36 quarter credits in accounting including 22.5 credits of upper level accounting courses 36 quarter credits in other business courses. Employment is projected to grow as fast as the average due to a growing economy. The large size of this occupation ensures plentiful job openings, including many opportunities for temporary and part-time work.
