  3. Ⅰ(1) Introduction of PUXIN • Beta Construction Engineers Limited is a civil and sanitary engineering design and construction company, incorporated under the laws of Ghana in the year 1976. The core businesses of the company include design and construction of sewerage and sewage treatment/ disposal systems, water supply systems, civil works, buildings and electromechanical systems for sanitary engineering works. Because of the increasing need for sustainable and environmentally friendly waste management, reducing/ eliminating green house gases (resulting in global warming), clean energy, protection of our water sources and water recovery, as well as stemming the looming food crisis, this company has been designing and constructing ‘Puxin’ biogas systems for households, institutions and ‘communities’, as the sole Agent of Shenzhen Puxin Science & Technology Co. Ltd. For GHANA & NIGERIA. • Shenzhen Puxin Science & Technology Co. Ltd. is a private enterprise founded in 2001. From its establishment, the company focused its concentration on the development of Puxin family size biogas systems, the equipments, as well as products needed to build the system. After successfully completing the development of Puxin family size biogas systems, the company began the development of Puxin medium and large size biogas systems in 2003. To date, the company has obtained over ten Chinese patents, and declared several international patents. • In 2006, Puxin Biogas system won the “Blue Sky Award” given by United Nations Industrial Development Organization and Shenzhen International Technology Promotion Center For Sustainable Development. • By the end of July 2008, PUXIN products for biogas development have been exported to over twenty countries as well as UNDP and SNV. In China Puxin biogas systems have been extended to over ten provinces.

Ⅰ(2) Introduction of PUXIN family size biogas plant • PUXIN family size biogas system is composed of a 6, 8 or 10 m3 PUXIN family size biogas plants , pipe routes, gas purify devices and gas appliances or small power biogas generators. PUXIN family size biogas system is mainly applied to farmhouse or domestic house to treat livestock waste, straw, human sewage and food waste.

  13. A 210 m3 Biogas Plant composed of 21 ten cubic meter PUXIN family size biogas plants formed in a group was built for a pig farm in Bolo County of Guangdong for the treatment of 1000 pig’s waste. The biogas is provided to generate electricity. August 30, 2006 completion.

  14. The structure • PUXIN family size biogas plant is composed of a concrete digester , a glass fibre reinforced plastic gas-holder and a concrete or glass fibre reinforced plastic cover. The digester is 6, 8 or 10 m3 of capacity. The gas-holder is 1.6 m in diameter, 0.6 m in height and 1 m3 holding capacity.

  22. 2.Highly industrialized • Fit for cosmically and fleet spreading: The steel mould and the gas-holder can be mass-produced in a factory. So, the biogas plant can be cosmically and fleetly built. • Quality of the biogas plant is highly guaranteed. Every digester duplicated by the steel mould can fit every gas holder duplicated by mold.

  29. 5. Durable • The concrete digester can last over forty years. The glass fibre reinforced plastic gas-holder can last over ten years. When the gas-holder is worn-out, a new one can replace. So the Puxin biogas plant can last over forty years.

  30. 6. Excellent safety feature • There is no possibility of biogas poisoning to the users. When the gas-holder is taken out from the digester, there is no biogas left in the digester. The digester’s outlet is 1.5m in diameter that is large enough to keep sufficient fresh air in the digester. So, it is safe to repair the digester , and safe to replace fermentation material.

  31. Ⅰ(3) Introduction of PUXIN tank style biogas plant • PUXIN tank style biogas plant is of the of hydraulic pressure type. The plant is mainly composed a 100-1000m3 concrete tank and a gasholder on the top of the tank. • The plant has two types- the natural temperature type and the heating type. For heating type, the digester contains an insulating layer made with foam; and has a pipe net on the bottom that can let the hot water from the power generator or solar heating system passing through to heat the fermentation material in it. The plant can has a thermostat to control the fermentation temperature. • PUXIN tank style biogas plant is designed mainly for PUXIN medium and large size biogas system. • PUXIN medium or large size biogas system is composed of one or a group of PUXIN tank style biogas plants, the feeding system, the biogas purify system (the desulphurization tower and the dehydration tower) and biogas generator.

  34. Features • High reliability: no mechanic movement, no mechanic failures. • Wide range of application. The plant can be built both under or above ground. The plant is suitable to handle both liquids (sewage, human and animal manure) and solids (grass, straw, and food waste). • low maintenance cost: very few workers are needed, almost no maintenance for rust prevention and mechanic repair are needed. • Durable: The concrete digester with a fibre glass interior which can stand strong acid and alkali can last over 40 years, the glass fibre gas holder can last over 10 years and it is replaceable when it is worn out or broken.

  36. (4) Introduction of PUXIN integrated style biogas plant • PUXIN integrated style biogas plant is of the of hydraulic pressure type. The plant is mainly composed a concrete tank that can be as big as needed and a numbers of gasholders on the top of the tank. • The plant has two types- the natural temperature type and the heating type. For heating type, the digester contains an insulating layer made with foam; and has a pipe net on the bottom that can let the hot water from the power generator or solar heating system passing through to heat the fermentation material in it. The plant can has a thermostat to control the fermentation temperature. • PUXIN integrated style biogas plant is designed mainly for PUXIN large size and super large size biogas system. • PUXIN large size or super large size biogas system is composed of one or a group of PUXIN integrated biogas plants, the feeding system, the biogas purify system (the desulphurization tower and the dehydration tower) and biogas generator.
