Eppes, 11 Sept. 1813 George Washington: “The preservation of the sacred fire of liberty and the destiny of the republican model of government are justly considered ... deeply, ... finally, staked on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people. “ John Adams: “Liberty cannot be preserved without general knowledge among the people.”

  3. If a liberal does not like guns, then no one should have one. If a conservative does not like guns, he does not buy one.

  4. If a conservative is a vegetarian, he does not eat meat. If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants to ban all meat products for everyone.

  5. A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good. If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy.

  6. If a liberal is homosexual, they loudly demand legislated respect and special rights. If a conservative is homosexual, they privately go about their life.

  7. If a Black or Hispanic is conservative, he sees himself as independently successful. Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government help.

  8. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him. If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.

  9. Liberals demand that those they do not like be shut down and silenced. If a conservative does not like a talk show host, he switches stations.

  10. If a conservative is a non-believer, he does not go to church. A liberal wants any mention of God or religion silenced.

  11. A liberal demands that the government / taxpayers provide his. If a conservative decides he needs health insurance, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.

  12. A liberal will delete it because he finds it “offensive.” A conservative will share this with his friends.
