  7. Our Mission Our mission at Daniel R. Cameron Elementary is to ensure that students are college and career ready by meeting their needs academically, socially, and emotionally. Nuestra misión en la escuela elemental de Cameron es to ensure that students are college and career ready by mediante el desarrollo de sus necesidades académicas, sociales, y emocionales.

We will promote mutual respect, individuality, and continuous learning for all students, staff, and community members. This year’s goals… • Priority 1: Improve Reading scores for all students • Priority 2: Improve Math scores for all students • Priority 3: Improve Science scores for all students • Priority 4: Attendance better than 95%! • Priority 5: Close the gap for our students with disabilities • Priority 6: Make Cameron the place where students feel loved, supported, and challenged!

Cameron-Parent Compact If your children remain Cameron students and you (parents) ensure that your children are present and support the school by requiring your children to behave reasonably and do homework, we will pledge that your children will meet or exceed standards before 8th grade graduation.

Cameron-Padres De FamiliaPromesa Si su hijos/as continua siendo un estudiante en Cameron y ustedes como padres de familia aseguran que sus hijos/as están asisten diariamente y apoyan, a la escuela exigiendo hagan la tarea y su comporten responsablemente, nosotros como escuela prometemos que su hijos/as estarán cumpliendo o excediendo las normas antes de su graduación de 8º grado.

How we can work together…Parent Groups • CLASSROOM VOLUNTEERS: Work regularly in a classroom to support teacher and students • PARENT PATROL: Before and/or after-school, outside of building • SET UP/DECORATION: Help set up for big events • COMMUNICATION: Call parents or pass out flyers after school • REFRESHMENTS: Prepare refreshments for events • FUNDRAISING: Help us fund raise through Scholastic book fair, flea market, other ideas, etc.
