  1. SLC • SLC, Student Leadership Council, is a gathering of student representatives from each middle school and high school in the district. They meet once a month to discuss important issues such as teacher and student relationships.

  2. What is the Festival of Arts? It’s a festival where people submit videos to show the community the importance of preserving our natural environment. Our goal for the festival is not only to promote environmental awareness, but to also inspire our community to take up the challenge of going green!

  3. Contestants Contestants may enter in the following age groups: Elementary: Kindergarten-Grade 5 Middle: Grades 6-8 Secondary: Grades 9-12

  4. Categories Entries may be in the form of: Visual Arts (sculptures, paintings, photography, graphic arts etc) Films(videos, clips)

  5. How do I Enter? • Just create a piece of art work or video that qualifies in the one of the appropriate categories. • Go to www.slc43.wordpress.com and get • an entry form, specific guidelines, and • more details.

  6. It will be held: • on Saturday, April 18/09 1 – 5 PM • Those who attend may vote for their favourite film, artwork, and photography. Prizes can be won, too! • at the INLET Theatre in Port Moody
