Bed Donation Project for Elderly in Xela, Guatemala

The Interact Club of Guatemala City initiated a project in January 2014 to donate beds to a nursing home in Xela, Guatemala. The nursing home, established in the 1850s, houses 15 elders who currently sleep on makeshift foam beds. The project aims to provide real beds for the elders and the five nuns who care for them. Additionally, the club hopes to raise enough funds to provide bed sheets and pillows, given the cold climate in Xela. The overall project budget is yet to be determined. Photos of the project progress will be shared.
