Ship’s Checklist Loading Dangerous Goods Containers

(Safety of Life at Sea Conference),IMO

  6. IMDG Code

Division 1.1: substances and articles which have a mass explosion hazard。 Division 1.2: substances and articles which have a projection hazard but not a mass explosion hazard both, but not a mass explosion hazard。 Division 1.3: substances and articles which have a fire hazard and either a minor blast hazard or a minor projection hazard or both, but not a mass explosion hazard。

  8. IMDG Code 之分類 Division 1.4: substances and articles which present no significant hazard。 Division 1.5: very insensitive substances which have a mass explosion hazard。 Division 1.6: extremely insensitive articles which do not have a mass explosion hazard。

Class 2.1: flammable gases 。 Class 2.2: non-flammable, non-toxic gases 。 Class 2.3 toxic gases。

  13. IMDG Code 之分類 Class 5: Oxidizing substances and organic peroxides 可分為兩小類 。 Class 5.1: oxidizing substances。 Class 5.2: organic peroxides。

  14. IMDG Code 之分類 Class 6: Toxic and infectious substances 可細 分為兩小類。 Class 6.1: toxic substances。 Class 6.2: infectious substances

  15. IMDG Code 之分類 Class 7: Radioactive material。 Class 8: Corrosive substances。 Class 9: Miscellaneous dangerous substances and articles。

  16. Ship’s Checklist Loading Dangerous Goods Containers • On arrival, obtain a provisional list of dangerous goods container proposed loading。 • Check/plan that stowage plan is in accordance with the requirements of the IMDG Code。 • Prior to loading, the ship must be given a dangerous packing certificate that includes the container number, UN number and proper shipping name of the dangerous goods. • Check that container labeling is in accordance with the documentation and IMDG Code.

  17. Ship’s Checklist Loading Dangerous Goods Containers • Apply any missing labels and check the container for leaks。 • Confirm that the container is loaded in accordance with planned stow。 • Ensure that the ship is provided with a final list of dangerous goods containers actually loaded and has a stowage plan showing the IMDG classes and stowage position 。

  18. Ship’s Checklist Loading Dangerous Goods Containers • File all dangerous goods packing certificates. Keep the file and stowage plan on the bridge in case of emergency。 • Indetify and include the emergency (EmS) schedules on the dangerous goods manifest or stowage plan recording the stowage position of the cargo。 【出處︰NOE P&I Club的Signals Newsletter Issue71 】
