KINESTHETIC: One’s learning ability is enhanced through touch and experimentation. ENVIRONMENTAL: Theselearners need to be in control of their surroundings. Learning Styles

  3. Session 2 1. They makeCHOICESand accept responsibility for those choices. 2. They bring their EXPERIENCESto the learning process. 3. They are MOTIVATEDto learn needed skills and capacities. 4. Adult learning is PROBLEM-centered or LIFE- centered. Basic Assumptions in Adult Learners

  4. Session 2 Adult learners need to know WHY. Adult learners are AUTONOMOUSand SELF-DIRECTED. Adult learners possess a reservoir of past EXPERIENCES. Adult learners are PROBLEM-CENTERED. Adult learners are READYto LEARN. Adult learning is LIFE-CENTERED. Adult learners are SELF-MOTIVATED. Seven Principles

  6. Session 2 The mentee will: Advantages and Rewards • have someone to help share the load. • have a much greater probability of success. • have someone to hold him accountable. • see faster and greater growth in the new church.

  7. Session 2 The mentor will: • experience the joy of passing on his / her experience and vision • help enable the kingdom of God to grow. • be enriched by the mentoring relationship. • see the influence and effectiveness of his or her ministry multiplied. Advantages and Rewards
