Frank Cockerill holds several fellowships in professional organizations including; the American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians, Infectious Diseases Society of America, and American Academy of Microbiology. He serves or has recently served on several boards including: the board of the American Clinical Laboratory Association; Board of Scientific Counselors, Centers for Disease Control; and Association for Molecular Pathology. A couple of years ago, as CEO of and in behalf of Mayo Medical Laboratories (MML) he accepted the Frost and Sullivan Award in Boston.
Frank Cockerillis a well-renowned scientist and leader in the medical field. In his free time, he chooses to engage in a number of hobbies including playing piano, running marathons, gardening, farming, , and reading about world history. In the past he served as a medical missionary to Haiti assisting the Sisters of Charity at the Hospital for the Dying in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
