  2. BCA Background BCA is a small 20 person private airline business that started in 2002. Servicing the travel needs of corporations is our main goal, we setup flights for Fortune 500 companies to various cities across the U.S.. Our main purpose is to be ready to serve clients that are on the move as their business demands. With the difficulty the commercial flight industry has had, our company has vast success in increasing business and we have started to expand our services.

BCA Business Model Very non-technical environment currently • CSMs enter data into excel files • Manual checking of schedules and availability • Most client data managed and kept by CSMs • Client data not actively archived or updated • Poor data management for all flight records • Little visibility to sales and marketing • Scalability issues

  5. BCA Business Requirements • Better user interface to browse through flight records than manually searching through Excel files. • Give users options to book their own flights. To achieve this goal, system should be designed as a web application. • Make our business a 24/7 shop. Website should be available 24/7 to help customers with their flight needs.

  6. BCA Business Requirements • Track user data efficiently, which would enable us to reward customer loyalty. • Cater to reporting needs of management. System should be able to generate reports such as sales report, revenue report, capacity report etc.

BCA Benefits Intangible • Increase customer satisfaction by allowing customers to have more control by booking their own flight anytime they want. • Better strategic decisions with management reports provided by the system. • Retain more customers by rewarding their loyalty with the airlines. • Better reporting enables us to run specials for under utilized sectors.

BCA Feasibility Analysis Organizational Feasibility • Since the system is web based it is very user friendly . • Less load on CSMs ,as customers can directly book their own flights . • Improves CSMs efficiency due to fast system response and less margin of error. • Improved visibility to sales and marketing .

  10. BCA Feasibility Analysis Technical Feasibility • This is a low-risk project as the system uses proven web technology. • Since the existing process is manual the new system does not pose any compatibility challenges.
