Katsushika Hokusai's Canvas Artwork- A Representation of Water and Waves • Katsushika Hokusai was a significant Japanese artist, specifically ukiyo-e painter who is renowned for his mastery of traditional Japanese art forms, particularly his landscapes and images of daily life. • Born in 1760 Hokusai's artwork was influenced at a young age by the art around him. He worked in a woodblock print shop and defined his skills in printing. • Hokusai's paintingsand his strokes were bold and were extremely Western-influenced. • But one such criterion with his painting was highly influenced by water and ocean waves. The representation of this connection is humanity with nature .
