  3. Classroom Rules • Be in your seat before the bell rings. • Be considerate of others. (Respect students’ and teachers’ comments, opinions, and ideas.) • What does this look like? • How do we act with classroom visitors? • Bring all materials needed for class. • Keep hands, feet, and other objects to yourself. • No throwing ANYTHING at ANYTIME, it will lead to an automatic litter pick-up.

  4. Food and Drinks • This is a new classroom! • No eating. • Only water allowed for drinking.

  5. Bathrooms • Go before or after class, that is what the break is for! • Otherwise, you must wait to ask until I have finished the class lesson for the day and excused the class to work on an activity or hw. • Please raise your hand with crossed fingers if you have an emergency such as a bloody nose to get my attention quietly. • If you are allowed to go to the bathroom you must sign in and out on the bathroom sign in sheet.

  6. Questions and hand raising. • Raise your hand with any questions at any time during class. I may not call on you right away but I will get to you. • If you make noises while raising your hand I will call on others who are quiet first. • Participate in class for tickets by raising your hand!

  7. Class Movement • Stay in seats at all times unless I have given permission to move. • If you have trash hold onto it until class ends or I have allowed you to move when I finished the lesson for the day. • If you need supplies before class please ask for them or retrieve them as soon as you enter the classroom. • This is for me and other students as movement can be distracting!

  8. Daily Routine This is the first 5-10 minutes of class every day • Come in and write down the HW from the board. • Pull out the previous night’s HW and start grading from answers on the board. • Start the warm-up also on the board. • I will randomly call on a student to work through the warm-up with me and the student will receive a jolly rancher or starburst if they have the problem attempted before I call on them. • This warm-up will be the start of the notes for the day.

  9. Rewards • Tickets – earn tickets by participating in class and being on task. • Tickets can be redeemed for: • 2 tickets – Jolly Rancher or Starburst • 4 Tickets – late assignment for full credit • 10 tickets – HW pass • Tickets can be redeemed at the end of the period.

  10. Consequences • Warning • Litter Pick-up • Asked to leave classroom and you owe me 15 min after school or at lunch and a parent phone call • Parent Phone conference • Referral
