  2. Standard First Aid with CPR C & AED Certification • This is a comprehensive two-day first aid course covering all major topics. The course is suitable for people looking for a solid foundation in first aid, people employed in a workplace of greater than 5 people, security guards, fire and police program applicants and anyone working with children. • This course is approved by WSIB for workplace first aid requirements and teaches the latest CPR guidelines.

Content • Scene management, primary and secondary assessment • Anatomy and physiology • Shock • Adult, child and infant CPR and choking • Automated external defibrillation (AED) • Heart attack, angina, stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA) • Bleeding, burns and eyes • Sprains, strains, dislocations and fractures • Head, spinal, chest and abdominal Injuries • Diabetes, asthma, anaphylaxis, poisoning and seizures • Hyperthermia and hypothermia • Moving and lifting

  4. Can you take CPR Training Online? • The short answer is Yes, you can take cpr training courses online. The Canadian Red Cross and Heart and Stroke Foundation offer online blended courses which combines online learning and in-classroom training to offer a comprehensive experience. The courses covers the same course curriculum and teaches the same skills as an instructor-led course, but divides the delivery of the online and inclass component. • We advise students to be careful when signing up for free cpr courses online. These courses are not suitable for workplace or school requirements as it does not provide hands-on skill component. Courses that are offered entirely online, do not include the opportunity for you to demonstrate skill proficiency to a certified instructor.

What are the different levels of CPR certification? • CPR Level A is CPR and choking techniques for adults.  • CPR Level C is CPR and choking techniques for adults, children, and infants.  • CPR Level HCP is CPR and choking techniques for adult, child, and baby victims at a Health Care Provider level.
