  5. § Server Rooms Quality Standards • Cooling And Air conditioning • Racks should be arranged in a hot isle/cold isle • cooling and humidity control should be via an independent AC system (i.e., not connected to main building system), with a return air design temperature of 72°F (±2°F) • and humidity 45% (±5%), respectively. • There should be sufficient clearance (minimum 4') between the A/C unit and computer racks in order to avoid potential damage from water leaks, as well as to allow for maintenance access. 6

  6. § Server Rooms Quality Standards • Emergency and fire • Emergency/backup power dependent from departments • Room should be fire rated if cabling and cooling systems are combined in the same space above the ceiling or below the floor. 7

  7. § File Cabinets Quality Standards • Inset toe kicks are constructed of 1⁄2” thick unfinished engineered wood • Tops, bottoms, and floors are 1⁄2” thick • Cabinets must be resistant to fire. • Locks must be resistant to drills. 8

  8. § File Cabinets Quality Standards 9

(five times after a failed registration system stops for a few minutes). • Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) backup • Size of body lock: 130mmL x 106mmW x 40mmH Net weight of body lock: 1.06Kg 10

  10. § Paper Shredders Quality Standards • Cross-cut shredder: • provide more security by cutting paper vertically and horizontally into confetti-like pieces. • Safety standards: • Safety sensor : automatically shuts off when hands are too close to the paper entry. • Safety lock: puts the shredder into a safe, inactive mood. • Safety flap: covers cutters when the shredder head is removed • Safety interlock switch: ensures the shredder will not activate when the shredder head is removed • Common product specification: • Length: 14.00 in • Width: 16.00 in • Height: 25.00 in • Weight: 66.00 lbs 11

  11. § Fire Extinguishers Quality Standards • Listed under the National Institute and Occupational Safety and Health is the following standard for Portable fire extinguishers (1910.157): • The requirements of this section apply to the placement, use, maintenance, and testing of portable fire extinguishers • Extinguishers readily accessible • The employer shall assure that portable fire extinguishers are maintained in a fully charged and operable condition and kept in their designated places at all times except during use. • There must be a sign showing the place and the type of Extinguishers
