1. 2014 Heimatfest Homebrew Contest Entry Form Date: Friday, June 20th Time: 7:00 – 9:00 pm Where: Ferdinand Community Center Name: Phone: Email: Beer Name: Style of Beer: Beer Category: [Light, Dark, Wheat, Hoppy] • For every beer you plan to enter, please provide the information (above) to robhamilton@psci.net or you can call (or text) 812-630-8981. Having this information, in advance, will help for planning purposes. Use the BJCP guidelines when entering (the full list can be found at www.bjcp.org/2008styles/catdex.php). Appropriate styles are indicated in the parenthesis below; these are simply suggestions to help you best categorize your beer(s). Examples of Light beers are light ales and lagers (cat. 1, 2, 6a-c, 7b).  Any beer that showcases hops should be in the Hoppy category (cat. 8, 10a, 14).  The Wheat category is reserved for any beer containing wheat or rye (cat.6d, 15).  Examples of Dark beers are stouts and porters (cat. 12, 13, 19). Two 12 oz. bottles and $3 is required for each entry.  The bottles should be marked with the same information above. Entries can be dropped off between 5:00 – 6:30 pm on the day of the contest at the Ferdinand Community Center. To submit entries early, call or text 812-630-8981. A six beer minimum is required per category. If fewer entries are received, the beers will be re-categorized.
