  3. THE HEAD COACH MUST… • NEVER SETTLE FOR 2ND BEST WHEN IT COMES TO THE PROGRAM • WORK TO KNOW EACH PLAYER ON A PERSONAL BASIS AND DEVELOP A RELATIONSHIP

  4. AREAS TO CONSIDER • OFF-SEASON, SUMMER, AND IN-SEASON CONDITIONING MUST BE A TOP PRIORITY • GOAL SETTING BY PLAYERS AND COACHES ALIKE FOR ALL PHASES OF PROGRAM • OFF-SEASON SPEED AND STRENGTH • INDIVIDUAL GOALS FOR PLAYERS • TEAM GOALS

  5. AREAS TO CONSIDER • DEVELOP A FOOTBALL ACTIVITY CALENDAR TO KEEP EVERYONE INFORMED ON EVENTS IN ADVANCE • BE SCHEDULE SMART – CONSIDER ALL PARAMETERS INVOLVED: • WHEN AND WHERE TO PLAY CERTAIN TEAMS • MONEY • PRESTIGE • INVOLVE ASSISTANTS

  6. IDEAS THAT CAN HELP • WORK SMARTER THAN YOUR OPPONENT (MENTAL ASPECT) • DEVELOPING A WORK ETHIC FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IS A GREAT THING • WORK YOUR KIDS HARD TO DESERVE WINNING • ELIMINATE WASTED TIME & EFFORT WITH PRAC. AND GAME PLANNING
