  12. Tutors reflection Benefits of working on the Open Minds project • Working with individuals who really want to learn • Working in rural locations were there was previously few resources for learners to explore arts and crafts • A supportive team to work with • An opportunity to explore a variety of teaching styles as learners needs are complex and everybody works at a different pace • Specialist training so I could do the best job possible • Supporting students in showing their work in an exhibition was immensely rewarding • Job satisfaction as learners confidence and social skills blossom and they became knowledgeable of a variety of mediums & techniques • Finally helping to create value and building trusting relationships with my students has helped to make me a better teacher and a better person.
