JLC?Idheap 7 SOMIT INTERACTIVITY Student - eCourse Course concept: tasks to be done, pre-tests, post-tests with standard answers, Flash animations, pop-up windows, hints, direct links to other parts of content… Through WebCT: bookmarks, comments, calendar, glossary, help, my progress, my scores… Student - Student E-mail list, forum, chat, personnal web pages… Student - Tutor E-mails, surveys, personnal project for student’s evaluation…

JLC?Idheap 8 FIELD TESTS October 2002 Started in French (18 students) 15 UNIL-ISSEP bachelor students (earning 12 credits) 3 of these also follow regular IDHEAP MdS course 2 correspondents (ISSEP, Macolin) 1 external student (Volleyball coach/manager who could not follow regular MdS course) December 2002 will start in German (5 students) 3 correspondents (UniBasel, EPFZ, Macolin) 2 ILK students (Bern, Freiburg) January 2003: open to Swiss Olympic and VMI Sport Management Lehrgang students

JLC?Idheap 9 STUDENTS’ FEEDBACKS 21 October 2002: launch in French at IDHEAP First quick students’ survey, 12 out of 18, see report (November 2002) 19 November 2002: first interim meeting for Lausanne students 14 December 2002: launch in German at VMI Full students’ survey in Spring 2003 Students are not so (inter)active (i.e. solving proposed tasks), lots of reading and printing Importance of tutoring / coaching

JLC?Idheap 10 COURSE INTEGRATION October 2003, SOMIT course ready for: Students registered in Swiss universities especially from: UNIL-ISSEP (for their “Licence en Sciences du sport”) UNIB- Basel (for their new Sport Science Master) EPFZ (Filep-Projekt “Management-Handlungskompetenz”) HEFSM (Diplomstudium Sport, Einführung Management) Sports volunteer managers recommended by Swiss Olympic (Sports Manager Diploma in partnership with VMI and IDHEAP)

Suisse and Ph. Tinguely Student assessment: traditional (so far) Sustainability: will depend on partners and SVC support for internationalisation

JLC?Idheap 12 WHAT REMAINS TO BE DONE In 2004-2005, with 1-1.5 person-year… English adaptation (necessary for international commercialisation) Addition of interactive material (flash, video, tasks with communication tools…) Chapters for specific needs, including international sport management Tutors training (to allow for course expansion) New student evaluation approach Dissemination and promotion activities How to propose a consolidation project?
