The Hupa Indians lived in the Northern Coastal Region of California.
They ate salmon, seeds, deer, elk, plants, bushes, and fish. They hunted deer, elk, rabbits, buffalo, and fish.
They made and built their homes, fires, blankets, clothes, baskets, baby baskets, potteries, arrows, and tools to cook and kill animals.
They made their clothes out of deerskin, rabbits, buffalo, and elk.
They were known to trade with other tribes. They celebrated three dances each year: the spring dance, the white deerskin dance and the jumping dance.
The language of the Hupa is familiar to those who know the Athabascan language.
