Good Rapport Fear of Hypnosis 1. patient may fear trance experience 2. fear of losing control 3. fear of not waking up 4. fear of unwanted suggestion 5. fear of blurting out or embarrassing self Fear of Failure 1. Over anxious patient may not be able to relax 2. over helpful patient may not relax and be receptive 3. explain deep trance not necessary 4. explain about mind wondering 5. listening vs. day-dreaming 6. nothing important to do 7. choose appropriate induction e.g. Vogt's
