  6. CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE • The Centre of Excellence (CoE) on “Applied Research, Training & Education in Lipid Science” has been established in the Department of Oil Technology at H.B.T.U. Kanpur under TEQIP – II sponsored by World Bank • Under Center of Excellence lectures , workshops , seminars from industry people are organized frequently. • The thematic areas of the centre are : • Oleo Chemicals and Novel Surfactants • Biofuels and Biolubricants • Bioactive compounds and Nutracueticals • Eco- Efficient Polymers and Coatings • The department have been benefitted from the TEQIP Phase II and helped the students to upgrade their knowledge and technical skills by facilitating: • Industry oriented research and technological development • Financial assistantship and state-of-the-art laboratory facilities • UG and PG research projects will be on industrial problems TEQIP PHASE - II

  22. KNOWLEDGE RESOURCECENTER Knowledge Resource Center has been established in the Department under Center of Excellence in which desktop computers equipped with different softwares viz. MATLAB, Design Expert, STATISTICA and Origin Pro for strengthening R&D activities have been set up. Various books in hard and soft copies are present on thematic area of center.
