  2. Welcome toSt. Peter! • The four candles on the Advent Wreath are burning brightly proclaiming that Christmas is almost here! Our hymns, Scripture readings and prayers for our worship this Fourth Sunday in Advent remind us that God’s deliverance is at hand and it is for every generation as well. May we in our worship, along with Mary of old, magnify our great Savior God who has come to our rescue!

  6. Prayer before Worship • Lord Jesus, we eagerly anticipate celebrating your birth on Christmas Eve and Day because we know that you were born to deliver us from the curse of our sin. Remove from us all our cares, worries and distractions, and bless our joyful worship. Amen.

OUR COMMUNION PRACTICE • In the Sacrament of Holy Communion, we express unity with our Savior and those who share our faith and stand on the teachings of God’s Word. • Therefore, we invite to our altar those who are members of St. Peter or members of the WELS/ELS. Visitors who wish to commune are asked to speak to a pastor before the service begins.

Financial Peace University • This life-changing class taught by Dave Ramsey and the FPU teaching team on video and coordinated by, new St. Peter member, John Raczek at Key to Life Community Center, Weston, • The 9 week class will begin on Sunday, January 13th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.If you would like to either participate or would like to learn more on how you can help sponsor a family to go through the class, please contact Pastor Mahnke. Financial Peace University • Preview Videos of the Class—lasting 10-12 minutes will be shown at the following times and dates: • Sunday, December 30, at 9:00 am & 9:45 am • Saturday, January 5 (at Key to Life) at 6:10 pm • Sunday, January 6 at 9:00 am & 9:45 am. • The preview is free and will help you see what the class is all about. • The class cost is $89 but includes a number of resources and helpful tools.
