Harassment and Bullying. We all have the right to go to school in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. The Halifax Regional School Board has a Harassment Policy that protects every student and employee from being discriminated against or harassed.

Human Rights Protected Characteristics • age • marital status • race • source of income • colour • political belief, affiliation, or • religion activity association with • creed another individual or class… • sex (including gender & pregnancy) • sexual orientation • physical disability or mental disability • irrational fear of contracting an illness or disease • ethnic, national or aboriginal origin • family status

  4. HRSB’s Harassment Policy also Includes • Comments or conduct that belittles or causes personal humiliation or embarrassment or • Written or verbal abuse or threats
