  2. Conduct Rule 12, Section 1 Definition: Unsporting conduct includes actions which are unbecoming to an ethical, fair and honorable individual. It consists of acts of deceit, disrespect or vulgarity and includes taunting.

  3. Assistant Coaches Must remain seated on the bench during play except for the following: • Verify score, time-outs, serving order of their team, verify opponents server • Stand only to greet player, participate with time-outs, react to a play • Attend to an injured player

  4. Head Coach May stand only in replacement zone to coach. During play shall be no closer than 6 feet from the sideline. If coach is yellow carded- coach loses privilege to stand except: • Request time-out or sub • Confer with officials • Same as Assistant coaches

  5. Teammates and bench Shall remain seated on the bench except to do the following: • React to a play • Warm up in not playable area before sub • Stand at the bench to greet players- then they must sit

  6. Always stay loaded …but… Know when to pull the trigger…

  7. Warnings Used for FIRST MINOR OFFENSE You only record this offense in the book. There is no PENALTY with yellow card.

  8. Penalty Use for: • 2nd offense on same player • FIRST SERIOUS OFFENSE Point/loss of rally is awarded to the opponent. The penalty is recorded in the book and explained to the Coach.

  9. Disqualification Used for: • 3rd minor offense by same player • 2nd serious offense by same player • FIRST FLAGRANT OFFENSE This DQ is for the rest of the MATCH. Player is moved away from bench WITH school personnel Coach/Adult is removed from premises Point/loss of rally is awarded to the opponent. Penalty is recorded in the book.

  10. Forfeit Results when: • Disqualified individual violates conduct rules after disqualification • Coach is dq’d and removed from premises and no one else is able to take the bench • Team refuses to play when directed to do so by the R1

  11. Match Situations Player says $?!* when she misses an attack Player throws ball over the net and hits no one Coach throws a clipboard on the floor in anger Player shows a vulgar signal to a fan Coach steps on the court and yells directly at R1 Coach or player is using tobacco

  12. Match Situations “Someone” uses profanity- who gets it? After game 1 Team doesn’t want to change sides After game 2 team again doesn’t want to change A spectator become unruly and disruptive
