  4. Searching for the Analogue sites in R Notice there are Analogue sites at the Far East and the Far west of the selected provinces We shall compare two sites

  5. Analogue site to the East: Close to Muhoroni Longitude = 35.2 Latitude = -0.0874

  6. -Sugarcane grown predominantly

  7. Analogue site to the west: In Busia Longitude = 34.2 Latitude = 0.52

  8. -Cassava -Sweet poataoes -Sorgum -Maize -Trees ad fruits

  9. What can be done • In depth analysis of soil and socio-economic factors for the two analogue sites • Farmers from Lower Nyando to Visit farmers in Busia and Muhoroni and exchange ideas • Researchers can use the analogue sites to research on crop varieties, farm managements etc that Lower Nyando can practice in order to mitigate and adapt climate variability and change • etc….we welcome more suggestions
