  4. 2012 External examiners wrote… • ‘Feedback on lessons is constructively critical.’ • ‘End of placement reports are very comprehensive, detailed and standards- specific.’ • Support from co-tutors for students and the programme very evident. • ‘The course does an excellent job.’ • ‘An excellent educational experience for its students.’

This academic year… • Embedding the new Teachers’ Standards • Ensuring all our students achieve at least H level in the preamble in Phase B • In depth conversation about progress between co-tutor and university tutor during the Phase B visit (and subsequently between co-tutor and student teacher) • Cause for concern/commendation processes • Refinements to reflective journal

  6. Our partnership’s student teachers are: • 135 in number • enthusiastic & have made an excellent start to their course • visiting classrooms • planning and creating • sharing and questioning • raring to begin their Phase A placements
