Growth Norms • Developed in 2008 for STAR interim assessments • Samples • STAR Reading: 4,650,767 million students grades 1-12 • STAR Math: 1,083,755 students grades 1-12 • STAR Early Literacy: 164,593 students grades K-3 • Conditional on initial achievement skills level and grade • Distributions of student growth calculated for each decile in each grade • Application: Norm-referenced interpretation of student growth across the school year • Scaled Score Growth Per week • Facilitates RTI
