Virgilio Davila • Born in Toa Baja on the 28 of January in 1869 and died the 22 of August in 1943. • Was Mayor of Bayamon and co-founder of Chantecler Seminar in 1909 • Known as a Romantic Poet • Some of his Poems are; Viviendo y Amando, Aromas del Terruño, Nostalgia, and No des tu Tierra al Extraño

  3. La Tierruca Es el móvil océano gran espejo donde luce como adormo sin igual el terruño borincano que es reflejo del perdido paraíso terrenal. Son de fáciles pendientes sus colinas y en sus valles de riquísimo verdor van cantando bellas fuentes cristalinas como nautas que bendicen al Creador. Primavera sus mejores atributos muestra siempre generosa en Borinquen. En los campos siempre hay flores siempre hay frutos es Borinquen la mansión de todo bien.

  4. Continuation Aquí nace el puro ambiente que respiro y se asienta la morada en que nací y ese sol resplandeciente que yo admiro aquí nace, aquí vive y muere aquí. De mis padres fue la cuna y ella encierra las más hondas emociones de mi ser. Yo no cambio por ninguna esta tierra donde tuve el privilegio de nacer. Es el móvil océano gran espejo donde luce como adorno sin igual el terruño borincano que es refleio del perdido paraíso terrenal.

  5. His Synopsis La tierruca is a poem of a wonderful place, were mountains are high, valleys are green and the air is fresh. Spring is were all the best attributes come out to play. In this poem he is just very grateful to his parents of conceiving him in this wonderful place, and expressing it in a way that is unimaginable.

  6. My Synopsis In my way is written, why did my parents conceived me in this horrible and stinky place. They are no mountains, the valleys look like deserts and it always smells. In spring it supposed to get better and greener but it only gets stinker and more deserted. I really wish I wasn’t born.
