Panera Bread History • Brief Description • Panera Bread was established in 1981. • Panera is a restaurant located across the United States and is known for their fresh baked breads and homemade soups. • Panera has 1,962 bakeries/restaurants in 40 different states and in Canada • Panera's websitedescribes itself as a "quick, casual restaurant."
Information Systems Analysis • Panera's I.T. System does not currently offer online ordering. This would greatly benefit the company. • Not only would it increase profits and recognition, the convenience factor would lure more potential customers. • The American economy is known for fast-paced living. With everyone rushing, many individuals don't want to wait in line or wait after ordering. With an online ordering system, both of these problems would be resolved.
