PC Report: Industry Group Reports • WiFi Alliance – Bill Carney’s slides: • Doc. # 11-04-0331 • 1st pass cert test fail rate up due to product complexity (implies Wi-Fi testing is even more important.) • QoS: Cert. test in development for launch 3Q04 • Bluetooth/15.1-revA – Tom Siep: • 802.1revA corresponds to Bluetooth v1.2 • On track for Sponsor Ballot mid May.

  4. PC Report: Industry Group Reports • WiMedia Alliance – Glyn Roberts: • 4 new members. Promoters: Intel, TI Contributors: Conexant, Staccato. • WUSB announced adoption of WiMedia platform. • Logo approved by board. • Yoram Solomon (TI) elected to TSC Chair. • Member meeting June 16-17 in Aix-en-Provence (France). • Doc.# 15-04-0xxx.

PC Meeting Report • Review of press release draft text to announce: • ExCom approval of new .11 task groups: p (vehicular), r (fast roaming), and s (mesh). • New study groups: Wireless Performance Prediction, Wireless Network Management and Wireless Interworking with External Networks. • Letters not to be used in 802.11 are l, o, q, and x. • General discussion of .11 & .15 in the press.
