  2. Big Events in the Last Five Years • 2015 – Renewed by Lodi Unified School District • 2016-2017 – Anderson Union High School District v. Shasta Secondary Home School • 2017-2018 – LUSD approved accepting the Elk Grove and Broadway (Sacramento) resource centers to RVCS due to Anderson decision • 2018-2019 – Implementation of Strategic Agility goals (MIT Sloan) • Math intervention for students not meeting standard • K-2 Literacy assessment and intervention • Increased access to a-g students beginning with grade 9 • Increased offerings and enrollment in career and college readiness • 2019-2020 – Continuation of Strategic Agility goals (MIT Sloan)

  3. Key WASC Commendations (March 16, 2017 visit) • Stakeholders are enthusiastic and passionate about the school, its opportunities, and its community. This validates the school’s commitment to students beyond the classroom. • Timely and accurate data, combined with individualized instruction from passionate staff, drives instruction and achievement. • Implementation of common assessments through NWEA MAP provides schoolwide data necessary to measure individual student growth. • Introduction of a-g approved curriculum encourages college readiness and academic opportunities. • Incorporation of curriculum that implements Common Core standards maintains academic rigor. • The school has made an effort to increase the number of student who are credit deficient by eliminating the cap placed on these types of enrollments. • Continual professional development is offered to staff in multiple areas. • Efforts to provide technology to all students is ongoing and timely. • On-site classes are available in multiple subjects, as well as required for math and English at the high school level. • Partnerships with Delta and Consumnes River Colleges to enrich and enhance student opportunities. • Hiring a Bilingual Outreach coordinator facilitates communication.
