  2. HIS KINGDOM HAS ALWAYS EXISTED • HIS KINGDOM IS ETERNAL • IT HAS EXISTED EVEN BEFORE THE CREATION OF THE WORLD • THIS ETERNAL KING IS THE GREAT I AM AS HE INTRODUCED HIMSELF TO MOSES • HIS KINGDOM REIGNS FOREVER AND EVER OVER ALL THE UNIVERSES

  3. SATAN BECAME THE ADVERSARY OF GOD AND HIS Kingdom HE HEADED AN ANGELIC REBELLION AND WAS CAST OUT FROM HEAVEN WITH THOSE ANGELS

  4. HUMANITY JOINED THE REBELLION SOON AFTER CREATION GOD CREATED THE WORLD AND PUT ADAM AND EVE OVER HIS CREATION. THEY WERE EXPECTED TO ADVANCE THE KINGDOM OF GOD ON EARTH

  5. HUMANITY JOINED THE REBELLION SOON AFTER CREATION BUT THEY FAILED, AND OPENED THE DOOR OF GOD’S CREATION TO THE REBELLION AGAINST THE KINGDOM OF GOD

  6. JESUS WAS SENT BY GOD TO the world TO WIN HIS KINGDOM BACK IN THE WORLD PSALMS 2 HIS KINGDOM IS PROPHESIED

Psalm 2:1-5: THE REBELLION 1 Why do the nations conspire        and the peoples plot in vain? 2 The kings of the earth take their stand        and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One. 3 "Let us break their chains," they say,        "and throw off their fetters." 4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs;        the Lord scoffs at them. 5 Then he rebukes them in his anger        and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,

Ps. 2:6-9: God announces HIS KINGDOM 6"I have installed my King        on Zion, my holy hill." 7 I will proclaim the decree of the LORD :        He said to me, "You are my Son;        today I have become your Father. 8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. 9 You will rule them with an iron scepter;        you will dash them to pieces like pottery."

Ps. 2:10-12: God summons the nations 10Therefore, you kings, be wise;        be warned, you rulers of the earth. 11 Serve the LORD with fear        and rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry        and you be destroyed in your way,        for his wrath can flare up in a moment.        Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

  17. Israel didn’t receive him as the king In spite of all the prophecies and signs spoken before hand by the prophets

  18. KIMGDOM’S PROPHECIES FROM THE ROOT AND STUMP OF JESSE

  19. Isaiah 11:1-5- A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him-- the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD--and he will delight in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist.   700 B.C.

  25. The voice was the prophet john Baptist His mission was to prepare the way for the arrival of the King

Isaiah 40:3-5 • A voice of one calling:'In the desert prepare the way for the Lord;make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God.Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low;the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed,and all mankind together will see it.For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.'"

  27. Malachi 3:1 • "See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come," says the Lord Almighty."

  28. Matt. 3:1-3 • In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Desert of Judea and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: • "A voice of one calling in the desert, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.' (Isa 40:3)."

  29. Nothing could go wrong The king was coming and should have been recognized and accepted as the king promised by God

  30. BUT Israel rebelled against the King, plotted against Him with the rulers of the earth, and crucified Him.

  31. THE CONQUERING of god’s kingdom • 1ST PHASE: THE COMING OF THE KING AS THE SAVIOR OF HUMANITY FROM THE REBELLION AGAINST GOD. HE CALLED THE PEOPLE OUT OF THE WORLD TO BECOME THE PEOPLE OF GOD. • 13For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, (Col. 1:13)

  32. 2nd phase- DANIEL’S VISION 7:11-14 • "Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking. I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire. (The other beasts had been stripped of their authority, but were allowed to live for a period of time.) "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

  33. Daniel 7:27 • Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.‘

JOHN’S VISION- Rev. 11:15-18 • The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:    "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever." And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: “We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was,    because you have taken your great power       and have begun to reign.

  35. The nations were angry; and your wrath has come.    The time has come for judging the dead,       and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great—    and for destroying those who destroy the earth."

  36. THE KING WILL COME AGAIN

  38. AND WE WILL REIGN WITH HIM

  39. CELEBRATE THE KINGDOM • CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS IN A NEW WAY THIS CHRISTMAS • UNDERSTAND THAT THE CHILD WHO WAS BORN IS A KING • HE IS NOT A POOR CHILD IN A MANJER • HE IS THE POWERFUL KING OF THE UNIVERSE AND HE IS COMING BACK TO FULLY CONQUER THE KINGDOM BACK TO THE FATHER
