Eagle Academy, led by Principal Helen Gross at Carolina Forest International Elementary, extends the school day to provide essential academic support for at-risk students. Licensed teachers offer tutoring, homework assistance, and resources for children lacking parental involvement. The program aims to enhance student proficiency in reading and math while building academic confidence. Feedback indicates that participants feel more confident, with many requesting smaller group sizes and additional one-on-one assistance. For the 2012-2013 year, transportation will be the responsibility of parents.
