  3. Introduction Aim: To find out the factors affecting the difference in temperature. Hypothesis: Concrete areas are hotter than non-concrete areas.

  4. Locations and Descriptions • Location A: Top floor of Multi-storey Carpark • Description: • Day 1: Sunny, a little windy, no cover • Day 2: Sunny, no wind, cloud cover

  5. Location and Descriptions • Location B: Garden outside printing room • Descriptions: • Day 1: covered with plants, windy, no cover • Day 2: covered with plants, windy, no cover

  6. Location and Descriptions • Location C: Open space between canteen and Block • Descriptions: • Day 1: shady, concrete, windy • Day 2: shady, concrete, no wind

  14. Conclusion Due to the fact that concrete is better conductor of heat compared to rubber and grass, concrete areas would be hotter than Non-Concrete areas. Our hypothesis was accepted.
