Mining Motion Atoms and Phrases for Complex Action Recognition

This poster presents a novel approach to action recognition by mining motion atoms and phrases from action videos. Motion atoms depict short, repetitive patterns and serve as temporal parts of an action, while motion phrases encapsulate longer temporal structures, providing context for complex actions. Our method enhances the understanding of various actions by dissecting them into their fundamental components, paving the way for improved action recognition in video analysis. We illustrate the concepts with specific examples of motion atoms and phrases in real-world scenarios.
