  2. Write a sentence using only an article (a, an, or the), a noun, an action verb, and the object of the verb. Example: The hornet stung me.

  3. 2. Write the same sentence, but add at least one adverb and one adjective. Example: The angry hornet stung me repeatedly.

  4. Write the same sentence as above, but add two prepositional phrases. Example: The angry hornet with the bright yellow markings stung me repeatedly on the leg.

  5. 4. Write the same sentence as above, but add at least one participial phrase. Example: Buzzing furiously, the angry hornet with the bright yellow markings stung me repeatedly on the leg.

  6. 5. Write the same sentence , but add at least one appositive phrase. Example: Buzzing furiously, the angry hornet with bright yellow markings stung me, an innocent bystander, repeatedly on the leg.

  7. 6. Write the same sentence , but add at least one infinitive phrase. Example: Buzzing furiously and mad enough to fight a giant, the angry hornet with the bright yellow markings stung me, an innocent bystander , on the leg.
