Year Review: What have we done • Apr 2002 sem – all lecturers were requested to upload “whatever” lecture materials • Aug 2002 sem – all lecturers were instructed to beef up their e-learning materials with brief lecture notes or PPT slides, and learning objectives, at the very least. • Dec 2002 sem – all lecturers were directed to organise their teaching materials lecture by lecture, i.e. 42 units of lectures if you are teaching a 3 credit-hour course. • Apr 2003 – all lecturers are required to and expected to have ALL your lecture materials uploaded in INTI ONLINE. Particularly the CITC, UFP and EIP subjects.

ANNOUNCEMENT: • Lecturers with materials uploaded this semester in INTI ONLINE should export (backup) your to your local disk on or before 12th April 2003 (end of week 15). • All students will be given their respective official college email ID (matriculation/IC number, i.e. J03000001@intionline.inti.edu.my) in INTI ONLINE. • Existing lecturers (which timetable is not available for next sem) could start uploading their lecture materials for next semester by April 9 to April 23. And to synchronize these lecture materials by April 24 to April 26 for the students to access the materials on the 1st day of the semester. For those new lecturers without existing classes but wishes to prepare their lecture materials in INTI ONLINE, please visit us at Ecampus Office (look for Ms. Jane). • Lecturers teaching CITC, UFP and EIP to make use, revise and upload the completed materials for iCDROM this coming April intake. Get these materials from your HODs.

How many participated: “the coalition of the willing” • SOEAT – 15 out of 17 lecturers (88 %) • SOBAL – 31 out of 47 lecturers (66 %) • SOSAM – 10 out of 19 lecturers (53 %) • SOLLA – 16 out of 31 lecturers (52 %) • SOCIT – 17 out of 35 lecturers (49 %) ICSJ Achievement – 60 % in Dec 2002 Aiming “100% Compliance” this April 2003

  5. How to access INTI Online? URL: http://intionline.inti.edu.my Location: Anywhere at anytime For lecturers: username and password = lecturer code. Please change your password after successful log-in. For students: username and password = IC number without dash (for local students) AND Passport number (for international students). To change password after log-in. Accessibility & Availability of the Site: only for registered students and accessible within the duration of the semester – 15 weeks.

  6. Components of Lecture Material: • An overview or introduction, maybe background information or pre-requisite if you so prefer • Learning objectives. Specifies what learners expected to do. Use action verb which is observable or measurable objective e.g. describe, explain, discuss, state, solve (problems) etc. Never use the word “understand” • Brief notes (with reference to specific sections/pages in textbook) or PPT slides. AVOID PLAGIARISM • SAQs (Self Assessment Questions) and responses • Learning resources e.g. www links, journals, magazines • Summary/Review of main points for the lecture Sample Written Lecture Material: WordPDF
