  1. Electro-Mechanical CylinderEMC Customer Overview Updated 8/13/09

  2. Electro-mechanical Cylinder– EMC Market requirements You demand: • High performance • Precision and reliability • Replacement of hydraulic or pneumatic components or use in combination with hydraulics and pneumatics • Proven technology • Complete range of components • Long-term maintenance-free • Cost-saving and time-saving Our solution: The Electromechanical Cylinder - EMC

  3. Electro-Mechanical Cylinder – EMC • The Electromechanical (EMC) Cylinder is a contained precision rolled ball screw actuator designed to provide high thrust, high speed capabilities with greater flexibilityand control to applications traditionally using pneumatic and lower capacity hydraulic cylinders.

  5. Electro-Mechanical Cylinder – EMC Benefits • Programmable control over positioning, speeds, accelerations, and torque • Environmentally friendly solution to hydraulics • Extensive range of optimum sized motors • Integrated precision ball screw drive for exact positioning and powerful drive • Wide range of fastening elements (brackets) • IP65 Protection (dust and low pressure water spray) • Design flexibility • High efficiency with low overall system costs

  6. Electro-Mechanical Cylinder – EMC (Features) • Broad product range (6 sizes including 32, 40, 50, 63, 80, 100) • Complete range with BSA’s diameter 12mm up to 40mm and in all leads • Stroke Lengths to 1500mm • High thrust capability up to 21000 N (4700 lbf) • Maximum speeds up to 1.6 m /sec.(5.25 ft/sec) • High accuracy and highly efficient motion with ball screw dirve • Excellent positioning and repeating accuracy up to 50μm and high efficiency • IP 65 Protection (dust and low pressure water) • Stainless Steel rod • System compatibility with BRC and BRP products / interchangeability • Conforms with DIN ISO 15552 for Pneumatic Cylinder dimensions • Closes a gap in the BR-Portfolio; Bridging to BRP • Length arbitrary (no fixed length)
