Our work in Higher Education is motivated by a vision much bigger than staffing a factory… • This is about creating a good education system that will sustain economic growth and transform Vietnam from an agricultural-base to a knowledge-base economy • High-tech industry depends on a strong public Higher Education systems • It is about helping to realize—in Vietnam—Intel’s global strategy to care for our people, our planet, and inspire the next generation through our support of education

What Will HEEAP Achieve? • 100% ABET-compliant Engineering and Vo-tech curricula, with modern labs • Classes taught in English, with English-language textbooks • 100% of faculty in all Engineering departments trained in modern teaching methodologies, with the tools and resources needed to be successful • Academic and government leaders trained in modern administrative policymaking, with the know-how to transform the entire enterprise • A government agenda that supports and sustains HEEAP • At least one APEX university that can compete regionally • More (and more senior) female faculty and students Vietnam will be well on the way to producing Engineering and Vo-tech grads that can compete with any in the region and the World

Inspiring…How We Do this Together? • “Collectively Create a Rich Environment • to Enable Students to Realize Their Inspiration” • Continue HEEAP 2.0 and transition to HEEAP 3.0 in future which is government-owned and sustained, collation supported. • Government provides guiding policy, infrastructure, incentives. • Industry provides concepts, ideas, technology, training needs, equipment, internships for students. • Academia provides contents, standards, trainers, and implementation. • Start Conversations to Build Research and Development Capability on Top of HEEAP to maximize investments and Foster Local Innovation and Entrepreneurship • University Research & Development Programs • Open & Collaborative Research Labs • Fostering Rich Entrepreneurship Education
