  2. Introduction We wish you all the best for your applications. This User Guide serves as a general reference for students who are interested to apply to NUS graduate programmes using the online Graduate Admission System (GDA). The information presented here are illustrative in nature, and not indicative of actual admission information. As the admission requirements for the graduate programmes vary, please expect to encounter pages and instructions that are different from those depicted in this Guide. Create New Account Your email address will also be your login ID.Should you forget your login password and request to have it reset, the link to authorise the password reset will be sent to this email address. Important! As it is common to be holding multiple email accounts, please take note which email account you are using to create your account for the Graduate Admission System. Homepage Spend some time to read the instructions on the homepage • Click on “Manage Applications” to: • add / submit applications • update relevant information (academic qualifications, employment history, test details, contact info etc) • answer questionnaire / essay questions, if applicable • upload documents • associate referee(s) to your applications • view admission checklist Graduate Admission System - User Guide for Applicants

  6. Manage Applications: Add New Application Click on “Add New Application” Select / key in the relevant information as accurately as you can, then click the “Save” button. Graduate Admission System - User Guide for Applicants

  7. Add New Application: Re-order Preference If you are applying for multiple NUS programmes, rank your applications in order of preference by clicking “Up” and “Down”. You can edit your preference ranking, as well as delete applications before you submit your applications online. Graduate Admission System - User Guide for Applicants

  8. Manage Applications: View Instructions Click on “View Instructions” and select the programme from the drop-down menu to view the specific instructions that are given for each of the programme. Graduate Admission System - User Guide for Applicants

  9. Manage Applications: Personal Particulars Click on “Personal Particulars” to fill in the required personal information. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are required to key in their NRIC number, while international applications who are working / residing in Singapore are to provide their FIN. Manage Applications: Personal Particulars Apart from the basic information (e.g. full name and date of birth), other info (such as pass type, pass number, passport date of issue, passport expiry date) are commonly requested by many of our programmes Graduate Admission System - User Guide for Applicants

  12. Manage Applications: Academic Qualifications “Location” here refers to the country of the awarding institution for your degree, and not the physical location of your study.   16. Manage Applications: Contact Details – Personal Contact As your primary email address is also your login ID, and notifications will be sent to this account, please make doubly sure that you have keyed in the email address correctly. Graduate Admission System - User Guide for Applicants

  17. Manage Applications: Contact Details – Mailing Contact You can choose to have the system copy the address from your Personal Contact if it is the same. Graduate Admission System - User Guide for Applicants

  18. Manage Applications: Contact Details – Next of Kin Contact It is compulsory for you to provide the contact info of at least one next-of-kin, as the University will attempt to contact this person during an emergency situation. Graduate Admission System - User Guide for Applicants

Manage Applications: Referee Associations After you have keyed in info on your referees under Referee Details, you can then assign your referees to the programme(s) that you are applying for using Referee Associations. Having assigned your referee(s) to the program, other actions that you can perform will be to un-assign and to email them the link to submit the referee report online.   23. Manage Applications: View Checklist Please go through the Checklist carefully and ensure that you have submitted all the required documents before completing your online application. Graduate Admission System - User Guide for Applicants

  24. Referee Details You can insert / amend information regarding your referees under Referee Details. Please ensure that your referee details are complete and accurate before you assign them to your applications using Referee Associations! Graduate Admission System - User Guide for Applicants

  25. Referee Details You can track the referee report submission status for each of your referees by clicking on “View”. As the link to the online report submission will expire 30 days after the email notification to the referee has been sent out, please remind them should you see that the status remains as “pending submission”.   27. Submitting Application: Step 1 – Select Application(s) Check against the programme(s) that you wish to view the instructions/checklist(s) for, then click on “Proceed to Step 2 of 6”. Graduate Admission System - User Guide for Applicants

  28. Submitting Application: Step 2 – View Instructions / Checklist Make sure that you have submitted all the documents for your application at this stage. When you are ready, click on “Proceed to Step 3 of 6” to run the Application Completeness Check. Graduate Admission System - User Guide for Applicants

  29. Submitting ApplicationsStep 3 - Application Completeness Check Click on “Back to Applications” to go back to the relevant sections and complete them. Once completed, click on “Proceed to Step 3 of 6” to run the Application Completeness Check again. Graduate Admission System - User Guide for Applicants

  30. Submitting ApplicationsStep 3 - Application Completeness Check The Application Completeness Check is passed when the system indicates that all the required sections are completed. At this point, you can click on “Proceed to Step 4 of 6” to submit your declaration. Graduate Admission System - User Guide for Applicants

  31. Submitting ApplicationsStep 4 - Making Declaration & Step 5 – Submit Application Read through and make your declarations carefully. Step 4 – Making Declaration – and Step 5 – Submit Application – are done at the same time here. Email NotificationsAt this point, you will receive an email notification acknowledging that you have submitted your application online. If you have not already invoked the email to your referee for online report submission, he/she will also receive the email notifications at the same time. After Completion of Online Application Note that you can only access pages such as Academic Qualifications, Employment History, Test Details, etc. when you have at least one application for which the application cycle has not closed. If you are only able to view your Personal Particulars and Contact Details pages, it simply means that the application cycles for all the programmes that you have applied to are closed. After Completion of Online Application At the Manage Applications page, you can make changes to your preferences, as well as edit / delete your applications (for those pending online submission) As for applications which have been processed, you can click on View Admission Status to view the latest status: Graduate Admission System - User Guide for Applicants
