  4. How? • Website • eLearning models • Member Self Serve (MSS) • ½ day workshops & Adhoc sessions • HR Directors & Employers • GP Practice staff workshops • ETU and other newsletters • IT Service Reviews • DHSSPS Policy & Pension meetings • Fortnightly Project Team Meetings

  5. Website • The HSC Pension website has been updated with a microsite dedicated to Pension Reform information and includes • Calculators • Information presentations • FAQs • Decision trees

  6. eLearning Models • Signing off eLearning model that includes • Information on current & future arrangements • Links to detailed information on website • Links to external information • Worked examples • “What if” scenarios • (Other jurisdictions have asked that this be shared with them once signed off)

  7. Member Self Serve This will be rolled out to all current members via HSC secure network once interface issues have been resolved. Members can then view their pension history to assist when using the calculators. Members can see how much service they have accrued and what section of the scheme this membership falls under

  8. Line Manager Workshops“Your Future in Our Care” • Run through of current and future arrangements • Information on how to navigate website • Information on changes to employers Duty of Care and information required on forms • Worked examples

Adhoc Sessions • Advertised through BSO Learning & Development & Employer Technical Updates for all staff • explains the new scheme arrangements inc; • New retirement age • Full & Tapered Protection • Early Retirement Options • Actuarial Buy Out arrangements • Choice 2 exercise • Worked examples

  10. HR Directors & Employers • Communication by way of letter to all employees about the changes • Information Leaflet agreed and uploaded to website

  11. Fortnightly Project Team Meetings Membership includes key personnel from • HSCPS • DHSSPS - Departmental Accountant • Payroll Shared Services • Heywood IT Service provider

  12. GP Practice staff workshops • HSC Pension Service currently run quarterly workshops to assist GP Practice Managers in their understanding of their obligations as employers of HSC Pension scheme members. These workshops are now extended to communicate the impact of pension reform.

  13. Newsletters Timely information is also provided by • Employer Technical Updates • Quarterly newsletters to GP Practice staff • Quarterly newsletters to General Practitioners, Locums and OOH Providers
