  6. Neighbourhood Renewal Investment • Over 100 projects currently funded (revenue and capital) • £5.3 million revenue projects anticipated spend in 2014/15 • £2.5 million capital projects committed in 2014/15 with additional projects being developed

Neighbourhood Renewal Action Plan – Priority issues – Economic Renewal • To raise employment level within Neighbourhood Renewal Areas (NRAs) • To encourage increase in training and educational attainment to promote employability • To have an adequate supply of Land and workspace to make provision for business growth • To encourage entrepreneurial culture / self – employment

Neighbourhood Action Plan – Priority issues – Physical Renewal • Town Centre Development • Community infrastructure e.g. improved community facilities • Recreation / play facilities • Environmental improvements within Housing Estates – Planting, Roads, Footpaths, Car parking, Street lighting.

Going Forward • NR - Current programme ends in March 2015 • Planning for future needs is underway - project development / assessment etc • NR Partnership continue to prioritise and develop projects within the NR Action Plan • Sub groups should be fully developed and operational to ensure needs of the community are met
