Retail with TipCash Receipt/Tip Receipt • From the main menu, press the 9 key • Enter the dollar amount of the base sale • Press Enter to bypass the tip, since it isn’t known yet • The Cash Receipt/Tip Receipt will print • Take this to the consumer • The consumer will fill in the tip amount and return receipt to merchant along with their credit card • The merchant runs the sale for the base amount, and enters the tip amount reflected on the tip receipt DURING the sale • The sale is captured and authorized for the entire amount, the same amount that will go up in settlement Helps to keep retail transactions from downgrading due to Adjusted Tip entry.
