QUICK Method • As the student reads the text, he/she should write questions in order to clarify meaning or discuss items of personal interest. • Students use context clues and define unfamiliar vocabulary words. • Using prior knowledge, students create mental images of the textual details of the work. • Students connect to the text using personal experiences and background knowledge. • Students think about the whole text and summarize in their own words.
